This recipe comes from my mum’s recipes’ book. It simple and quick, just what I like these days.

Ingredients for 4 persons:

800 gr. potatoes

300 gr. flour

Directions:

peel your potatoes and boil them untill well cooked

mash your potatoes

add flour

your dough is ready to be rolled out

roll you dough out into cylindrical shapes

cut out cylinders about 2 cm long and mark them with the help of a fork so that later they can “trap” your sauce better

sprinkle your gnocchi with some flour to avoid sticking together. They are now ready to be cooked.

When your salted water starts boiling put your gnocchi in the pan and after a few minutes you’ll notice them coming on the surface.

take them carefully out of the boiling water

place them in a pan with some tomato sauce

Now they are ready to be served. Enjoy ๐Ÿ™‚
